June 2010:  The construction begins!

My husband, my sister and my sister's husband have decided to build a log home in Colorado!  It's been a dream for a long time, but we finally decided it was time to actually do something about it.  Our family has been coming to Colorado since we were kids.  My dad loved to fly fish, and he taught the family, although some of us like it better than others!  We also love to ski, hike, and camp, and Colorado is close enough to Texas to be able to drive it, so it's always been the vacation destination for us.  Last fall we decided to take the plunge, so we bought a bit of land in a beautiful Colorado valley and then spent the past summer building the foundation for the house.  Well, some of us spent the summer, some of us spent what part of the summer we had off for vacation...  But we all helped!
